Something of me...
I have taken photographs my entire life. Photography is a connection between my eyes, my camera and my subject. My photography speaks in a way that I cannot, in that it expresses something beyond what words are able to convey.
I studied at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, FL where I was classically trained in commercial photography. I began working as a freelance photographer in south Florida. I love doing location portrait work, but I also love the control and energy of doing product photography in studio. I have photographed jewelry, cigars, fishing lures and even jet planes. I bring what I love about working in the studio to my work on location. Often times I will set up shots on location using what I know about lighting to take full advantage of the space and natural light available.
I graduated from high school in Mayaguez (SESO) and so my work here is like a homecoming. I love Puerto Rico, the place and the people. I get so much joy in sharing and integrating the beauty of Puerto Rico with the people I photograph.
Sometimes people ask how I’m able to keep creating new and original images for each wedding. Well, a wedding is like a sunrise... a beautiful, striking, and dramatic yet short lived event, each one is unique and different. The colors and the shapes of the clouds change from day to day, but the spark and excitement of the new day is always there. This is how I feel about weddings, each is unique and I am inspired as a couple begins their new journey together. I look forward to photographing many more sunrises and many more weddings here on the enchanted island of Puerto Rico.
